Design
$1,200.00 includes 3 D concept and 2 D plan set with framing plan, footing plan, decking plan for both decks. This will be waived if customer goes with Deck Stylists for building contract.
Grading plan
$500.00 includes preparation of grading plan showing plan to prevent erosion as required by Sandy City.
Engineering
$750.00 includes Engineering plans and load calculations that are stamped by a licensed structural engineer.
Site plan
$250.00 includes site plan showing proposed deck extension as required by Sandy City.
Permit coordination
Hourly rate $50.00 per hour includes uploading all required documents for permit as required by Sandy City. Not refundable if permit is not approved due to setbacks or other restrictions imposed by the City. This can be waived if customer goes with Deck Stylists for building contract.
Total job: $2,700.00 + permit coordination hours
50% deposit to start, remainder on submission of all required paperwork for permit.
Installation process:
Composite includes installation of composite decking using universal hidden fasteners, control joints for expansion and contraction at butt seams, alternating seam pattern, square edge border piece around outer edge of decking top fastened with trim head composite screws.
Redwood decking installation includes using a perpendicular border piece to conceal all end grains, pre-stain on 5 sides prior to installation, installation of decking with pilot holes on all board ends and buff sand, acid wash and pressure wash prior to final staining top deck surface.
Hardwood decking installation using #8 trim head stainless steel screws, prestained on 5 sides prior to installation, buff sand, acid wash and pressure wash prior to final staining top deck surface. We can also do plugs or hidden fasteners for an additional price.
